The child chosen in this case study is called Max. He is five years old, male and struggles with discipline at home. The child is selected because of his behaviour, as explained by the parents and the teachers. He tends to cause different forms of trouble which affect his overall life. It is also difficult for him to focus on the classroom experience and determine the best ways for his life. These active problems have proved to be an impediment to his life as he grows and develops.
The research conducted an interview session with the family to get a better view of their condition and some of the problems they may face with Max. The family is a middle-class establishment with an annual earning of USD 150000. The parents are graduates both working in law. They believe in the need for structured engagements and discussions with the child to help them understand their problems. Their form of discipline is through grounding. They rarely assign tasks and chores to Max as most of them are done by the older siblings and the house help. The parents explain that Max’s childhood has been difficult as they were never around. He was forced to deal with his older siblings who bullied him, leading to the development of anger issues and tendencies. However, when calmly talked to, they explain that he has a unique ability to listen and follow the given rules and regulation. However, when he is upset, he has violent tendencies, which always lead to trips to the emergency room in the hospitals.
The child is fairly tall for his age. He is 47.7″ and weighs 39.5 lb. he likes to keep long hair and is mostly found alone and quiet during social times, such as in schools. He does not interact with the fellow students and tends to show disconnect in the classroom. In most case, he can also be found fighting and engaging in violent tendencies with different people in his immediate environment. These factors affect his abilities to effectively communicate and interact with others. One may think of him as shy in initial contact, although he may not show these aspects. He needs to be approached cautiously to avoid triggering extreme feelings which have negative impacts on his life.

Max was feeling jovial and happy during the morning, and it was unusual for him as a majority of students were not interacting with him on a regular basis. He shared his snacks with his deskmate and even said thank you to a classmate who lent him a pencil as he had misplaced his. The parents explained that they had bought him new shoes.

The behaviour shows the existing problems and tendencies in his life. It is a testament to the level of the problem he has and the effects of the anger issues. Aggression in young children can accompany other mental health conditions, including ADHD and autism (Maleki et al. 2019). Analysis of max behaviour can help easily understand the issue.

Max was crying in the morning. He had problems concentrating in class. He would easily display his emotions when easily triggered by the classmates. There was a general sense of distouch with the class. Upon calling the parents, they explained that they had travelled and were not able to pick him.
The behaviour of the child shows his attachment to the parents. It is a situation in which he feels left behind when they do not provide the best interactive framework for him. It may also point to a case of being mistreated and abused when the parents are not around.

This behaviour could point to an existing issue he has faced in his life. It is developed from the feeling of inadequacy and existing negative outcome from past problems. The aggression could be because of bullying and abuse by the older siblings.

The child had difficulties pronouncing some words. It was during the English lesson. He faced issues with explaining himself and being coherent like his classmates. He was angry at the situation and his perceived inabilities.
The behaviour is synonymous with certain problems and issues which may be inherent in his life. It is a situation in which the child has an inherent mental health problem and requires improved care in the best ways possible, hence, quickly attaining the intended outcomes.
Conclusion
The child, thus, has an existing problem that requires adequate care and treatment. There is a need for enhanced medical care, which will help him manage the issues regarding his anger. It will be important to develop the needed background and growth measure, which is paramount for his successful realization. It also positions him to effectively achieve his age’s social, cognitive, physical and emotional skills.
